common questions about working with us

Honest answers to the things homeowners ask most.

  • How much do your projects cost?

It depends on the scope, but most of our projects fall in these ranges:

    - Paver patios: $10,000 – $25,000

    - Retaining walls: $35,000 – $60,000

    - Outdoor kitchens: $25,000 – $40,000+

    - Stamped concrete: Starting at $10,000

    - Full backyard transformations: $70,000 – $120,000+

We provide a detailed written estimate after an on-site consultation. No surprises.

  • How long does a typical project take?

Most projects take 2–6 weeks from start to finish, depending on scope and complexity. Full backyard transformations with retaining walls, patios, and kitchens can take longer.

Weather can shift timelines — we'll keep you updated if it does.

  • Do I need a permit?

It depends on your municipality and the scope of the project. Retaining walls over a certain height, structures with electrical or plumbing, and projects near property lines often require permits. We'll let you know what's needed during the planning phase and can handle the process for you.

  • Can you help with an existing structure/project?

    Absolutely!

A large share of our projects involve existing hardscape. Settled patios, failing retaining walls, cracked concrete, weathered decks, and overgrown landscaping are common starting points.

We start by assessing what you have and identifying the root cause of any issue (drainage, base failure, freeze-thaw damage, root pressure, undersized materials), then recommend the most cost-effective path forward: repair, partial rebuild, or full replacement.

We're upfront when building over an existing structure isn't worth it. If a paver patio has lost its base, or a retaining wall is bowing because it wasn't built for the soil load behind it, layering new material on top is usually just buying a few years before the same problem returns. In those cases we'll show you why, price both options, and let you decide.

We can also blend new work into existing features — matching stone, tying new walls into old grading, extending a patio, integrating a fire pit into space you already use — so the result looks intentional rather than patched together. Send photos or schedule a site visit and we'll walk through what's salvageable and what isn't.

  • Can you help with designing the project?

    Of course!

We'll visit your property, walk the space, and talk about what you want to accomplish. We'll discuss materials, layout, budget, and timeline. After the visit, we'll send you a detailed written estimate. No fees, no pressure, no sales pitch — just a straight conversation about what it'll take.
